I think there is a lack of understanding about the differences between participating in a piece of the design process, contributing the 10% in a collaborative workshop out of 90% of the rest of the process. I find that many leaders and managers often loose track of context when they look at a finished design and think that was easy and when they see the output of a design sprint and think the work is done.
If they were trained in Product or UX design they would know to ask the right questions and to reference the context in which the work is done. But they are not professionals and untrained in UX. A self perpetuating issue unfortunately.
